For me I feel like crafting and gardening go hand in hand.. could be just me though?! Well I am going to give you five "tips" (more like what NOT to do's) on basic gardening.
1. Know what you are planting, and read the label. If you dont you could end up planting sweet pea in your vegetable garden and peas in your flower bed. Seriously it's happened. And of course you will not notice until they are in full bloom...
2. If the label says to space out the seeds do it. If you dont you could end up spending 2+ hours 'thinning' out your carrots, and beets.
3. Dont try to pull weeds after 2 weeks of non-stop rain. If you do you could end up with hungry mosquitos attacking your soft juicy butt resulting in unpleasant ass-scratching in public. Also the roots will be so wet they will likely break before leaving the ground.
4. Wear gardening gloves, or at least know what poison ivy looks like. If you dont you could end up with a swollen, itchy, burny pinky for a good hour or so now..
5. Wear sunscreen while weeding your garden, if you dont you could end up with a half circle burn mark on your lower back; that happened to be sticking out without you noticing.
Well those are my "tips" on gardening, I hope this makes you feel more confident in your own gardening skills!

Im still here!
Well it's been a while, but I am still here...are you?! I sure hope so because I have some exciting stuff to share!! First Im going to share a fab recipe, a great way to eat your green beans!! I was never a fan of green beans, but since I had them growing away in my garden I came up with a delicious way for everyone to enjoy them. The "Sesame Greens" Recipe can be found under the recipes tab ;) Next is an awesome tutorial I found for the little guys out there. I'm going to make this upcycled hoodie for my little guy with some of his fathers old clothes that has lost the elastic over the years! The tutorial link can be found under the tutorials tab. That's all for now but I will be back soon :)

Belated Father's Day!
I personally prefer Mother's Day, and had no clue what I was doing for my dad or my husband..
I searched the Internet, and although pinterest had some pretty unique ideas like this: http://pinterest.com/pin/32106583/
It seemed like it's the same wherever you look. Tools, golf clubs, and ties. So what if your dad isn't handy, has a full set of clubs and rarely wears a tie?!
Well for my husband I got him and online gift card to his favorite store, this way there is no complaining when I buy him the wrong size or color!
And for my wonderful Father, I am planning a photo shoot of him with his grandchildren. He wants to wait a little longer, as he is on a diet and almost 50 lbs lighter! So proud!
I also had my Father, Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and niece and nephew over and made a yummy supper of steak, shrimp, and all the trimmings.
And for dessert My super moist, super delicious Carrot cake.
I hope you all honored thy father.. I think I should start planning next years fathers day now!

Rain Rain go Away!!
It has been raining in my little part of the world for the last 3 days. But I am not letting that put a damper on things. Did you like that..'damper' ha I'm so clever.
Anywho my daughter and I have been wanting to go tenting. Just in the front yard, because well she doesn't know that's not really camping! Ah tricking children, easy and fun!!
I decided instead to have an indoor camping night! Our tent is so large that it would literally fill our living room, so instead we used the play house:
Here's an inside shot of my little man..getting ready to watch Cars, or so he thinks! We ended up watching Little Mermaid :)

It's really hard to see whats actually going on in this photo, we camped in Maddi's room so there wasn't much space! You can kind of see the 2 halves of the play house, we put the matress from her bed inside and pinned a sheet over, but left an open side so we could watch a movie from bed. Yep true campers!
Camping is just as much about the food as it is the tent, and the number one camping food to me is SMORES! We made a modified version that I found here: http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/warm-toasted-marshmallow-smores-bars/902bb288-e52b-4aba-a264-925d20f37d98
This is a must try for smore lovers! Here's how mine came out:
There is one issue I had with this though, it makes a huge pan of smores. More than a family of 4 can ingest safely. However we did have some the next day, that we reheated in the microwave for a few seconds and they were just as gooey as they should be.
Happy camping :)

Manic Monday
Today is Monday.
As a stay-at-home mom it's quite surprising that I even know this.
But today everyone headed off to work and left me at home with my children, my not-quite 2 year old nephew and my 5 month old niece.
As the older kids eat, and throw their breakfast I am rocking the baby off to sleep.. and my mind shifts from breakfast to lunch.
I know already that I will be serving something prepackaged, quick, and non-nutritious. So to balance everything out I think of the most delicious salad imaginable..perhaps for supper?!
OK so this isn't my picture..but it looks something like this!
I haven't figured out how to link my other pages to this so for this ah-mazing salad recipe click on the recipes..trust me this will have your mouth thinking it's Saturday!

The start of something new..
Here I go...
I've been a journal-keeper for a long time, but being so busy with the kids and all of my hobbies it's not something I have kept up on, so I decided on a blog. Why not?! It's something I have been wanting to do for a while now, not just to show you what I am currently working on but all of the things that inspire me. I will share tons of 'crafting' tutorials, recipes and family fun activities. I know that sometimes we need a little inspiration, an idea to get our creative little minds rolling and what we can create is limitless.
